KEY OF LIFE is my modern take on an ancient symbol.

I handcrafted this exclusive Ankh pendant with 20 gauge 0.8mm pure copper wire. I placed a suspended tiger's eye bead at the apex and I added my signature DSC swirl in the center. I designed this to honor the ancient Ankh — the sacred symbol of life and the Key of Life — engraved throughout the Nile Valley for over 6000 years.

I chose tiger's eye because it is believed to stimulate energy levels and boost inner strength, help ground emotions and promote mental clarity, ward off negative energies and enhance personal security, and support strength and resilience. I chose pure copper because it acts as a vibrant energy conductor enhancing the beneficial properties of the stone it supports, and is historically valued for its potential properties.

I made this pendant approximately 4 inches high by 2 inches wide. I handcrafted it in my Jonesboro, GA studio, made to order.

Copper care I recommend: Keep the pendant away from water, lotions, soaps and other moist substances to minimize tarnishing. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth with filtered lime or lemon to restore shine. Avoid wearing in shower, swimming or activities that accelerate wear. For accumulated tarnish, use a jewelry cleaning cloth or ultra polishing pads to bring back luster.
